Ordubad historical and architectural reserve

Ordubad historical and architectural reserve is part of the Tentative list of Azerbaijan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Ordubad is a historic Silk Road trade town, located in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. It had its heydays in the 17th and 18th centuries. The trade with Europe was mostly in dry fruits, wheat and silk.
